Here is one of the first green-screen video we ever made. This was produced almost four years ago. I wanted a band in the background so I grabbed a Green Day music video clip and colored it pink. Abby sure was cute back then. She's older now; but she's still a drama queen!

Star Trek

Once a Trekkie, always a Trekkie. Yup, I still have fond memories to this day of when I was 11 years old or so laying around the house with my brother Jerry and watching classic episodes of Star Trek. Jerry was a little odd which I think made the experience that much more memorable. Later in life, I have equally fond memories at FSU where me and Brad Carter - and whoever else was hanging around the Farnsworth "public" house - would order a Domino's pizza and a couple of root beers and watch classic Star Trek every Sunday night at 11:30 PM. Later in life, I would come to enjoy sharing "next generation" Star Trek movie experiences with my wife Karen and my brother Rick. As a Trekkie tribute, I find it only fitting that I pass the mantle to my progeny.

Movie Review

The Hollywood Four went to check out The Spiderwick Chronicles this afternoon. As you will see from the Hollywood-Four-O-Meter below, the movie was a hit with this family of movie critics.




Hollywood-Four-O-Meter:

1. Dad = 3.5 stars "but pretty intense for a kids film"

Mission Impossible

Here is another action-packed "classic TV" clip that we produced back in November. While the action sequences may vary a little from the original TV show, I tried to maintain the "spirit" of the original. For the burning match effect, I actually recorded one of those funky Windows Media Player lighting effects and then rotated it 90 degrees and chroma-keyed it over top of the clip. To create the animated effect, I had to reposition the flame frame-by-frame (that was boring). You'll also notice my "cheesy" attempt to have Andrew appear African-American. I wasn't happy with the result, but didn't have the patience to mess with it further.

Irish Dance Out

Yesterday Abby had her first Irish "dance out." These are basically small shows that the dance school will do for parties, events, clubs, etc. This show was performed for a very "mature" audience. Here is a small clip of Abby doing a hard-shoe dance.
