Abby competed in the Louisville Feis this weekend - and she did fabulous! She got a 2nd place medal in her Reel; a 2nd place medal in her Slip Jig; 1st place in her Treble Jig; 3rd place in her Straditional Set; and no medal in her Hornpipe (normally her strongest dance). We were amazed that she took second in both her Reel and Slip Jig given these aren't normally her strongest dances and she was competing with over 25 girls in each of these dances. Abby now has at least one 1st, 2nd or 3rd place medal in all of her dances which means she has qualified for, and can compete in the Mid-America Oireachtas competition this November.
